So, now that I have a blog, it’s time to catch up on a few sessions. 🙂 I had the privilege of photographing little Karlie here last week. She was the oldest newborn session I’ve had to date. I was a little nervous about how it would go (would an older newborn hold the poses? Would she sleep as well? etc. etc) but Karlie was a champ. She slept long enough to get some nice sleepy pictures, and then when she was awake I was able to get some fantastic open-eyed shots. Her little personality came through right away -she was the most smilie baby ever!

Finally she had enough of me bothering her while she was trying to sleep and opened her beautiful eyes. Once she had decided she was done sleeping -that was it. She was done. Mama is gonna have her work cut out for her. But I am so happy she was so wide-eyed for the rest of our session; I was able to get some of my favorite shots yet!

Got to take family pictures of my good friend and her daughters the other day.  This was the first time I’ve done a more lifestyle type session, and I have to say, I really enjoyed it.  I had to dust off my speedlite, but it was definitely worth it!

Thank you for coming to visit my new blog!
