Children and Family Portraits

Portriat sessions can last between 1-2hrs.  Each session is different and can vary in style and length.  Sessions can be held at an agreed upon outdoor location or in my home studios in PA or NJ.  Children can take a little while to warm up when meeting the new lady with a big camera in her hands, so we may start out slow and follow their lead until they become more comfortable.  It’s not unusual for me to start making jokes, singing songs, or making silly faces to try and get a sweet smile or little giggle.

I like family portraits to be natural.  After initial posing, I step back and watch your family interact while waiting for the right moments to capture.

Newborn

Newborn sessions can vary drastically – the baby dictates!  Sessions typically last anywhere from 1-4hrs.  Newborn sessions are best done within 2 weeks of birth, as your baby is at its sleepiest (and squishiest!) and this produces the best results.  I will travel to your home and bring all the necessary items and supplies.  I will provide a variety of blankets, headbands and hats for use during the session.  If you have a special piece of clothing, stuffed animal or other prop, I will be happy to incorporate it into the experience.

Cake Smash

Typically done for first birthdays, cake smashes are done in my home studios.  Cake smashes can be VERY messy, but also very fun!  Before we get to the cake, I will take regular formal pictures of the birthday boy or girl in normal clothes.  For the actual cake smash event your child can wear an outfit of your choice or an item provided by me.  For boys I have diaper covers and for girls I have tutus, ruffled rompers and headbands.  We can discuss the color theme upon booking.  You may provide your own cake, or one can be provided for a nominal fee.

What Happens after a Session

Usually within a day after your session, I will “sneak peek” a couple images on my Facebook page for instant gratification!  Within14 days I will email you a link with a password to your private image gallery.  You can view your images and share with friends and family.  This image gallery will stay up for 2 weeks and you can order directly from there.
