Oh little Nolan. What a little charmer. So sweet and so perfect. Nolan was only 6 days old when I met him for his newborn session. He was so good for me, but did like to stop a few times to snuggle and snack with mom. 🙂 In the end he was perfectly content to let me snuggle him and pose him. We had an awesome session and meeting him and his family was a pleasure.

Dance recitals mean dance portraits. My daughter is in dance class and absolutely loves it. She loves being on stage and thrives on the attention. Stage fright is definitely not an issue with her. This was year two of classes and I realized the DAY BEFORE her recital that I still had not taken her official dance portraits. Slacker mom indeed. So I set up all my equipment (which was a BREEZE compared to getting her dressed), dressed my daughter, did her hair (oh the ballet bun…gah), and took her official portraits. She was thrilled. Mommy was not quite so thrilled (seeing as I’d be getting her all dressed again the NEXT DAY for her recital *cough*ballet bun*cough*), but I can blame no one but myself.

Until next year ballet bun…

Meet gorgeous Omar. What a sweet and perfect little guy. He was only home a day before I visited him for his newborn session! He was so good for me and let me pose him however I wanted. He even gave me a little smile! At first he was wide awake, which I love because I do love me some open eyed newborn pictures. After a little while he fell asleep and stayed that way for a good portion of our session. He was perfect. 🙂

I had the pleasure of photographing this First Communion session at Lock Ridge Park in Alburtis PA back in May. This was my first time at this park and boy was it beautiful. So many places to inspire beautiful pictures, and of course I had the PERFECT model for those portraits. We went all over the park -even the places that required a small hike to access. Didn’t matter that she was in a gorgeous white dress, she was fearless. Between the ruins, the bridge, the old mine tracks and the flower garden there was no end to the beauty we found here.

This was such a fantastic session and I really hope to make it back to Lock Ridge Park again soon. I bet fall sessions would be gorgeous here too! 😉

My first little gender reveal! When I found out my best friend was pregnant, naturally I was thrilled for her, but after that faded all I kept thinking was “oh the things we can do during her pregnancy!” (is that normal? I assume for fellow photogs it’s a normal reaction…Yea, I’ll go with that…) So I’ve photographed her bump a few times so far, but I also wanted to do a fun gender reveal! We kept it simple, but still fun! Here’s a little share from our gender reveal session.

Oh sweet, sweet Jude! My third NJ mini session. What personality! And what a smile! This is the second time I’ve have the pleasure of shooting sweet Jude and it was just as much fun as the first time. He has such life in him, and is such a sweet little man!

As soon as he saw me this day I heard him say “Is that the photographer?” and then he ran over to give me a big hug. Tell me, how do you not melt into a huge puddle at that moment? He remembered me from our twinkle light mini sessions last December. <3 <3 What a heartbreaker. Just was in his element at this outdoor park which was where we met for our mini session-it was all I could do to keep up with him. I love that though, because I was able to capture Jude as the active and adorable little man that he is. I even got mom and dad in on some portraits, which is something I always, always, ALWAYS insist on with parents. 🙂 What a gorgeous family! Jude gave me so much variety at our session -mostly because he didn't stop moving once the whole time. And I don't think he stopped smiling the whole time either. 🙂

Meet sweet and gorgeous little Reece. I’ve been photographing Reece for about 2 years now (in fact, he has a special place in my heart because he was one of my very first clients when he was a baby). It’s super special to me because I’ve gotten to watch him grow through my sessions with him. This was my 2nd NJ mini session and it was celebrating his 2 year birthday. We had a slow start because he had just woken up from a nap, but that was nothing a few bubbles (and a little dog watching!) couldn’t solve. Mini sessions are such a great way to update your family pictures! It was fun to see Reece and his family again and document his birthday.

This family was the first of my NJ mini sessions a few months ago (yes, I am painfully behind on my blog). Tina and I worked together once upon a time, and were pregnant with our first two kids at the same time (when she got pregnant with her daughter, I may or may not have plugged my ears and pretended not to know -though I did have fun snuggling her when I took her newborn pictures). It was great to meet up again.

It was super fun to see the whole gang together. This session was a mix of First Communion, Baptism, and family. Which was perfect. What a beautiful family too. The boys are definitely boys and made me laugh the whole time. They just wanted out of their suits and to be able to run around. They were great sports about everything.

Boys being boys. 🙂

This lifestyle shoot came about in a backwards kind of way. Originally it was a day my daughter actually WANTED to go outside and take pictures. I had an idea in my head for the shot I wanted so I quick dressed her and we got ready to go outside. Except when we looked out the window we noticed it was pouring rain. I decided we’d wait for a little while and see if the rain would stop.

At first Maddie was ok with waiting.

But as the waiting continued she started getting impatient and sad.

So what’s a mommy to do? Say screw it and go outside in the rain to play. 🙂 Everyone should play in the rain more, don’t you think? So we played. And we danced. And we jumped in puddles. And it turned out these lifestyle pictures were more real and fun than what I had intended anyway.

Meet beautiful Olivia! I was so thrilled to be asked to take her First Communion portraits during my mini sessions. We had a beautiful warm morning and she was such a pleasure to photograph. I love the dresses and accessories little girls wear, right down to their adorable matching shoes! Plus Olivia was up for everything; sitting down, leaning against the fence, etc. all while wearing her dress. Made it fun for me!

Did I mention how beautiful she is?
